Two founders. Both hands-on. Neither interested in being a figurehead while juniors do the actual work.
Co-Founder
Cheryl has spent over 20 years in digital marketing — working with everyone from global brands like Lastminute.com to fast-growing startups and non-profits. The range is deliberate. If you've seen enough industries, you stop borrowing the same playbook and start asking better questions.
She co-founded Ambire and played a central role in growing it from a paid media specialist into a full-service media agency. She brings the same strategic rigour to small and medium businesses that she applied to enterprise accounts — just without the enterprise bureaucracy.
Her approach is hands-on and honest. She's not interested in strategies that look good in a deck but don't move the needle. She works directly with clients, builds plans around their actual goals, and is straightforward about what will and won't work. The 21 five-star reviews are, in no small part, a reflection of that.
Co-Founder
Andrea has been running paid media campaigns for over 20 years — which, in digital marketing terms, makes him a genuine veteran. He started in the early days of Google Ads when "broad match" was the only match type and "Smart Bidding" wasn't a thing. He's watched every major shift in the paid media landscape unfold in real time: the rise of Quality Score, the death of average position, the introduction of Smart Bidding, Performance Max, and the iOS14 attribution fallout.
Before Ambire, he spent years working with global brands — Nike, PlayStation, Virgin — at some of Sydney's larger agencies. He was good at it. He was also quietly frustrated with how those agencies operated: large client lists, high account manager turnover, juniors running campaigns while the senior people sold, and a general tendency to let accounts drift on autopilot once the retainer was locked in.
So in 2017, he and Cheryl started Ambire. The name is a riff on "aspire" — which is either a meaningful statement about ambition, or just a slightly cooler-sounding word. (Probably both, if you ask Andrea. He's Italian, so everything sounds better with a vowel on the end.)
He speaks at PPC conferences — including HeroConf, the world's largest — on the intersection of paid search and paid social, creative strategy, and attribution. He has also, on at least one occasion, been photographed at the Googleplex in Mountain View. He maintains this was a professional visit. (It was.)
He leads Google Ads management and Meta Ads at Ambire, and works directly with clients on strategy — not as a consultant who disappears after the kick-off call.
From the founders
It isn't the awards or the client results. It's watching the team grow — professionally and as people.
In the last two years alone, the growth has been, frankly, unbelievable.
The agency model, as it's traditionally operated, has a structural problem. Senior people sell. Junior people deliver. The client meets the expert at the pitch and rarely again. Work gets done by whoever is available, not whoever is best suited. Accounts sit on autopilot. Reports get sent without anyone genuinely understanding the numbers behind them.
We started Ambire because we believed there was a better way to run a digital marketing agency — one where the senior people actually do the work, where clients have direct access to the people making strategic decisions, and where results are the only measure of success. Not hours billed. Not jargon-filled reports. Results.
The name reflects that. "Ambire" is derived from the idea of aspiring to something — of genuinely trying to do better, not just going through the motions. It's a commitment that sounds lofty until you look at the 21 five-star reviews from clients who've been with us for years and decide it might actually be true.

We don't lead with these. But they mean something — Google Partner status requires passing certification exams and meeting performance standards for clients. We maintain them because our clients' results require it.
